‘Prophet’ Anoints Lady’s Private Parts And Repeatedly Raped Her To Cast Away Spirit Husband

A self-acclaimed prophet identified as Muyiwa Adesoye, 35, has been arraigned before an Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court for deceiving and raping a 17-year-old auxiliary nurse repeatedly under the pretext that he was delivering her from a spirit husband that has been tormenting her.

Adesoye, who hails from Akure, Ondo State, allegedly prophesied to the unsuspecting victim that she had a spiritual husband who usually had sex with her in the night.

He further told her that the spirit husband is the main cause of the stagnation she often experienced in her career and told her that she had to undergo a spiritual assignment for the so-called spirit husband to leave her.

The nurse accepted that she would undergo the spiritual fortifications in order that the spirit husband would let her go.

However, Adesoye informed her that he would anoint her private parts and have sex with her to completely free her from the torment of the spirit husband.

The prophet further charged her a deliverance fee of N25,000 and warned her of an imminent danger if she ever backed out from the deliverance session.

In her desperation to be set free from the spirit husband, the young nurse accepted to go through the deliverance and even gave him two phones as gifts.

Adesoye subsequently took her to a popular hotel located at Abule Odu in Egbeda area of the state where he had sex with her several times.

It was gathered that after the encounter, he allegedly gave her a black soap and asked her to take her bath with it daily as the final stage of the deliverance.

She took the soap and in obedience, started having her bath with it, but she never experienced any change of fortune.

This prompted her to report the issue to her parents who further reported the matter to the police at Area ‘M’ Command, Idimu, which led to the arrest of the self-proclaimed prophet.

He was charged with criminally obtaining sex through and unlawful carnal knowledge under false pretence and stealing under the Criminal Code, but he pleaded not guilty.

Magistrate J. O. E. Adeyemi granted him bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The magistrate ordered that he be remanded at the Kirikiri Prison pending when he will perfect his bail condition.

Adeyemi adjourned the case until Monday, September 21, 2015 for further mention.
